Liz Jeneid: "I made this book after travelling to Lake Mungo in Western NSW in 2008 with a group of artists. Apostle birds are very sociable and unafraid of people, they move around in family groups, often 12 in a group, hence the name. The book has text on the back of the concertina folds, describing the birds and their habitat."

5 x 10" closed, 80" extended; 10 pages. Double-sided concertina. One side has three double-page spreads (19.5 x 5") with original watercolors connected by two shorter double-page spreads (9.875 x 5") with stenciled (?) quotations from Arctic Dream by Barry Lopez. The other side has observations hand-written into a gesso base.

Liz Jeneid: "In 2005 I was artist in residence on a ship going to the Ross Sea. I tried to draw each day, often standing on the ice with my sketch book in hand, trying to capture the feeling of that day…."
