el viaje (the voyage) is a set of nine verses by Cuban poet Orlando Hernández. Each verse is accompanied by an illustration by Cuban artist Ibrahim Miranda. The text is in Spanish with an English translation by Noel Smith added.

A native of Pinar del Rio, he attended the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana; shortly after graduation he began to exhibit in Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, and the United States."

His essays have been published extensively in books, magazines, and catalogues, both in Cuba and abroad. He is a member of the International Association of Art Critics and the Unión des Escritores y Artistas de Cuba."
