Alisa Golden: "So many times a book is judged by its cover. Here is the cover, the jacket as a paper sculpture, the book fully exposed, easy to flatten and store or mat and frame as a print. These five poems look at honesty, service, invisibility, power, and irony through cleaning, team training, military awards, a bug, and clichés. The prints are of bald eagles, a target, and combat boots and talons. Taken together, a powerful and playful set of words and images."
