Beata Wehr: "The book contains a wallpaper from a closet in my first own house. My husband and I bought it in Tucson, Arizona, in 1997 after 16 years of moving from one rental place to another on two different continents. I had to tame the house to make it my home.

"I was curious about all the people who lived here before me and the story of the house. One day I removed the intensely colored seventies wallpaper and examined what was on a backside. It could be read [like] a story and with a little bit of imagination some of the secrets seem to be revealed."
