Howard Munson: "Dancers from different neighborhoods and other communities converge along the narrow cobblestone streets of San Miguel de Allende toward the Parrogia. They are the shadow ancestors of the Chichimecas that lived in the area during the conquest. An encounter proceeded the procession where tribes forgave each other for conflicts and misunderstandings between them. wearing elaborate feather head dresses they dance to the beat of drums bringing alive the spirits of the past.”
