Olga Komissarova: "Through my art I love to send positive messages – but not necessarily in its literal meaning, often in the emotional feeling that it gives, which I achieve through the color, compositional balance and attention distribution clarity of the piece."

Olga Komissarova: "[The book] serves as an illustrative representation of [an] existing narrative of the short story 'Night.' This book is a circular story - a circle of events, which repeats from night into night. The name of the story tells in itself what the whole idea of the narrative is. The story is of a father who constantly wakes up in the middle of the night and failing to wake up his wife who is deep in sleep, goes along the dark corridors of the house into his son's bedroom, switches on the light, hoping to find the boy alive, but then discovers the room is empty, and returns back to his bed in helpless despair. The story repeats again the next night and the next. ...

"The book is handmade and has a circular binding, which flips easily into a pocket-size quarter-circle. The book serves as a constant reminder of the circles we go through in life and our ability to see them from the outside. The mood of the book is blue, so the illustrations are done in cold and deeply sad blue colors.
